Sowing Media:Lightly fertilized peat, pH 6,0.

Sowing: In plug trays, using 1 pelleted seed per cell. Do not cover the seeds as Lisianthus needs light to germinate. We recommend to germinate the Lisianthus on benches in a glasshouse. To obtain optimum humidity during germination the trays may be covered with plastic.

Germination temperature:20-22กใ C (68-72กใ F). Higher temperature may cause rosetting.

Germination:Approx. 2 weeks after germination the plastic should be removed but it is essential to main-tain correct humidity in order to achieve uniform plants.

Potting:When the plants are 7-8 weeks, plant 3-4 plugs in a 10-12 cm pot, using a lightly fertilized and well drained peat, pH 6,0.

Growing temperature:20-24กใ C (68-75กใ F). Good ventilation is needed.

Production:Depending on the type of product, the plants are spaced to 30-45 pots per m2.

Growth regulation:When needed apply 1-3 0/00 Alar.

Artificial light:As this crop requires a lot of light, it is necessary to use artificial light during winter and early spring.

Sales:Depending on the time of the year crop time from potting is 8-10 weeks.
